"The most successful interrogation of an Al-Qaeda operative by U.S. officials required no sleep deprivation, no slapping or "walling" and no waterboarding. All it took to soften up Abu Jandal, who had been closer to Osama bin Laden than any other terrorist ever captured, was a handful of sugar-free cookies."

See, America isn't all that bad :) lol

Dolphins use tools to help them hunt, I didn't know this. Apparently they will use things like discarded/trashed nets etc that they find, wrap it around their fins or bodies and then scrap the nets along the sea floor to catch crustaceans and whatever else the dolphin(s) may be looking for. Apart from chimps and elephants I didn't know of any other species who actively found, used and taught tool usage.

It may pan out that dolphins are indeed the smartest creatures on the planet....per "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" lol

Otters use tools as well - using rocks to break open the shells of mussels and clams for a quick snack....

...just saying.

Shouldn't that be second smartest creatures on the planet?

No "the" smartest. According to the film "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" dolphins were actually the smartest, mice second and humans 3rd.

I am friends with a lot of people here however not all of *my* friends are friends with each other. That's fine with me, I can like whomever I wish and so can you. But, try to talk bad about one of my friends or attempt cause a rift between us and YOU'LL be the one with one less 'friend'.

Grow up, all of you, or leave me alone. No real friend, no real acquaintance, or even decent person for that matter, would try and interfere. Acting like a child, gossiping, bitching, talking behind people's backs etc. is nothing more than your own insecurities and shows how shallow and small a person you really are.

"Warning" me about someone is different, depending on how it's done, but just talking trash or anything along those lines is beyond inappropriate.

Let me stress this, grow up or go away. I don't have the time nor the desire to be forcibly involved in petty BS even if I think you're "right". Don't bring your crap around me and I won't ....can't really think of anything to say being that I have NEVER gossiped or talked behind someones back, or tried to break-up a friendship and so on.

See I really am a good boy :) lol

BTW if anyone is reading this and makes their own jewelry I have around $300 in sterling silver chains, beads, clamps etc. that I have no further use for. If you're interested in all or some of it let me know, yeah you'll have to buy it but for nowhere near what it's worth. I'm just trying to get rid of it.

Stuff like that happens to me often in the real life and I don't get indulged, it can be difficult though, and it happened the other way round too, yet I never told anyone to not be freinds with that person becaue I wasn't, or else be the one gossiped and lost ''friends'' too.

H1N1 Virus USA

I made this map to better show the number of persons infected with the H1N1 Virus ("Swine Flu") in the US. I also wanted to highlight the unusually high number of cases in IL and WI. There really isn't anything special about this entry other than the fact that I thought some of the numbers were strange.

As for IL specifically if anyone has any legit ideas about it feel free to comment, or comment about something else if you like. The damn thing took me over an hour to make which is really sucky. The vast majority of things I do, either creating images, writing poems, essays etc all take 45min or less...oh well.

One thing that came to mind, which I guess isn't very nice but really who cares? "It looks as though the spirit of Obama has saved the nation from certain doom by bankrupting us faster than Bush ever dreamed of and totally ignoring the Constitution and overall legal system of the nation but despite being our 'Messiah' he couldn't save his own State from "swine" flu. Of course swine is generally what you find in Illinois as opposed to people, at least when it comes to politics."

Now I'm just being mean and have completely gone far far away from the real issue which is the map and the sick people. I really do hope they recover soon and this whole things ends as quickly as it came.

re: WI and IL.... The only reason I can think of, is that the number of cases is related to population density. However, this doesn't explain the areas which have high density but few reported cases (the east coast).
